About My Clients
I work with pre-teens, adolescents, and adults in developing insights regarding their needs and personal goals. I specialize in working with members of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities with a wide variety of lived experiences. I am neurodivergent affirming and welcome members of all communities to build space with me. Whether you are managing anxiety and panic attacks, depression and low motivation, or healing from a traumatic experience - together, we will find the tools to get you thriving.
My Background and Approach
As a client-centered therapist, I strive to meet you where you are at, to deeply understand your needs, and approach each challenge with empathy and levity. Therapy is a collaborative experience that I am a dedicated participant of. In my years of practice, I have helped many clients develop tools to take back control over their anxieties and move through the waves of depression. Therapy can be hard and intimidating - it is not easy to face the challenges that come with life. I use my skills to create a space that can hold the solemn and celebrate the joyous. We will laugh through new discoveries as I help you confront fears and traumas with confidence. I look forward to joining you on your journey to continued mental health and wellbeing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has the keys to their long-term success, we just may need a bit of help identifying those keys. Every person's story and lived experience has immense value - not only to them, but to those who love and are loved by them. These stories are the foundation to the work that is done in therapy. As a Black, queer, woman, I understand the impacts of greater society on our mental health and wellbeing. I recognize the challenges that come with trying to blossom in a world that seeks to stifle your shine or destroy your existence entirely. I have over 10 years of experience in anti-oppression and liberation work and proudly integrate those principles into my practice. I am a passionate advocate of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, fat, disabled, neurodivergent, and all communities that are impacted by the long-lasting impacts of oppression. I see you, I affirm you, and I welcome you to a space that is inclusive of and respectful to any and all of your identities and lived experiences.
