About My Clients
I work with adults and teens navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, identity-related questions, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients want to better understand patterns in their lives, strengthen boundaries, improve communication, and reconnect with themselves in more intentional ways. I welcome clients of all genders, racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and identities, and I aim to offer a space where people feel seen, respected, and supported.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in social services and mental health since 1998, with experience in community mental health, crisis intervention, hospitals, schools, foster care, telebehavioral care, and forensic settings. While I have been licensed as a psychologist for the past several years, my work is grounded in decades of supporting people through a wide range of challenges and life circumstances. My approach is relational, integrative, and tailored to the individual. I draw from interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and behavioral strategies based on each client’s needs, goals, and style, grounded in a culturally responsive lens that recognizes how identity, background, and lived experience shape how people understand themselves and move through the world. I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and believe that trust, respect, and collaboration are essential to meaningful and lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should honor the full context of who a person is. That means recognizing the impact of culture, identity, family, community, and lived experience rather than treating those factors as separate from the work. I value authenticity, respect, and the therapeutic alliance, and I strive to create a space where people do not feel overpathologized or reduced to a diagnosis. I am a queer clinician who supports inclusive, affirming care and welcome clients from all walks of life. My work is guided by the belief that people deserve to feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow in ways that align with their values, strengths, and experiences.
