About My Clients
Whether this is your first time with counseling, or you are returning, you are not alone, nor are you expected to know all the answers. Together, we will lay out areas to focus on, set goals, and develop effective coping skills in an effort to promote growth and aspire creativity. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental approach to personal development with attention to the mind-body connection.
My Background and Approach
For the last ten years, I have worked as a CNA and caregiver for seniors in their home. In addition, I have worked in an eating disorder program with adults and adolescents for the last 2.5 years. Most importantly, I have been a single mother for over 15 years. I have many years of experience in caregiving and nurturing, only natural that it led me to the counseling profession.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I respect all backgrounds and beliefs. In counseling, it's important to me that we honor your unique perspective, even if it's different from my own. I believe in equality, respect, honesty, and inclusion. And, while I have my own personal beliefs, my primary focus is to help you understand yourself better, not to impose my views on you.
