About My Clients
In my practice I hope to support my clients with self-discovery. With the amount of information we are consistently taking in, our authentic self begins to become clouded and we loose site of who we are. As a result, anxiety, depression, and other forms of mental illness surfaces. Through self-discovery work my clients rebuild their self-esteem and begin to embrace all parts of themselves, even the parts that have once been determined as "flaws" or shortcomings.
My Background and Approach
I have a license in Professional Clinical Counseling which allows me to assist my clients through individualized therapy. I also have a background in educational psychology, allowing me to assist clients with working through challenges that may arise from school, vocations, and careers. My goal is to utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to assist clients with identifying judgmental thoughts that have an impact on self-esteem, emotions, and behaviors. With identifying these thoughts, clients have a better understanding of the root of their insecurities which lead to symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. I also encourage clients to engage in practices that assist with the mind body connection, which is often disrupted as a result of trauma, poor self-esteem, etc. Through this connection clients have a better awareness of how to work through pain, rather than avoiding it.
