About My Clients
I specialize in working with people who are feeling like they are stuck or repeating painful patterns, whether in their relationships or at work. People who are ready to embark on a sacred journey of getting to know yourself, heal, grow, and release old patterns. Albert Einstein said the definition of insanity is when we keep doing the same things over and over again expecting a different result. Our patterns are repeated until we learn to choose to react differently.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is heart-centered and trauma-informed. I have been described by clients as direct but gentle. We will do more than just validate your feelings, but we will really get into the patterns that have been keeping you stuck and why. I believe it is important to understand yourself and I feel it is an honor for me to accompany you on your healing journey. We will uncover your truths and dive deep into an exploration of your heart and mind. Whether you're going through a painful transition like divorce, having difficulty in your relationships, self-medicating with substances, or have debilitating anxiety or depression- guidance from a qualified, objective person is sometimes necessary. There comes a time in life when we need to shed our old belief systems because they are no longer serving us, although probably at one time they did. I will help you gain insight into the root cause of what is keeping you stuck.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the ability to heal and in the process of restoration. I believe we are on all a Hero's Journey and we will confront difficulties in life at times. It is important to have community and people in your life who support and encourage you. We are at our core relational in nature, and so we have a deep need to connect deeply with other human beings. We all have a deep need to be seen, heard, known, and ultimately loved unconditionally. I believe that although human beings are each complex and unique individuals, we are not all that complicated or different from each other. We all struggle. We all need connection, love, acceptance, and a sense of belonging, and sometimes we need support and the help of a supportive and objective professional to help move us through the process.
