About My Clients
I enjoy working with folks from all walks of life - from teens to older adults, who are ready to face a traumatic or adverse situation, improve on how they view themselves and others, learn better ways to cope and regulate themselves, or if they just want a safe and compassionate place to share what is going on right now.
My Background and Approach
I received my undergrad in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, and my masters from City University in Seattle. I have been working in the mental health field since 2014. I have worked with victims of intimate partner violence, folks struggling with OCD and ADHD, trauma, veterans, acute mental health diagnoses, and family issues, such as trauma, abuse and interpersonal struggles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is important to me that I do not discriminate based on gender, orientation or belief system. I try to work from a feminist and social justice-oriented perspective, keeping trauma as my focus and being mindful of my own privilege(s). If we end up not being a good fit, I will assist you in finding someone who does check all your boxes, and can also connect you to medication management services. My job is not to judge you, but to walk alongside you and help you find your way.
