My background consists of helping people to overcome challenges by encouraging you to use new strategies and techniques. I use an integrative approach to counseling including cognitive-behavioral, acceptance, and commitment, and dialectical behavioral therapy to help you challenge your negative thoughts, accept uncomfortable situations, and stay mindful in the face of uncertainty. I believe in building an environment of trust and safety so that you feel that you are talking to a friend and not a therapist. My laid back style will help you to feel comfortable to share your story and get the results you are looking for.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that nobody is broken and everyone has a purpose. I want to help you tap into your strengths so that you can feel empowered to live the life you want. I am extremely open-minded and non-judgemental, as I believe that every action has a valid reason behind it and happiness looks different to everyone. Sometimes life can make us feel that we need to fit in a box. My goal is to help you begin to reframe thoughts and actions so that you do not feel stuck by anyone's standards other than your own.
