About My Clients
I work best with anxious, self-critical young adults & professionals who feel stuck in repeating emotional or relationship patterns. Many are high-functioning on the outside but overwhelmed internally, struggling with confidence, overthinking, or people-pleasing. I also work with adolescents navigating anxiety, self-esteem, & life transitions, and with parents seeking thoughtful, collaborative support for their teen.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed therapist in New York with advanced training in schema therapy, CBT, & relational approaches. My work is especially helpful for clients who feel stuck in long-standing patterns of anxiety, self-criticism, or relationship difficulties & want more than surface-level coping strategies. Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, & paced to your needs. Together, we’ll explore where patterns developed, how they show up in your daily life and relationships, & practice new ways of thinking, feeling, & responding that feel more grounded & authentic. I balance insight-oriented work with practical tools so sessions feel both meaningful & applicable. As a Latinx therapist, I bring an awareness of how culture, family dynamics, & identity shape emotional experience. I approach this work with cultural humility & curiosity, honoring each client’s unique background & values. I also have experience working with adolescents & approach this work with care and respect.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, respected, & understood in the context of their lived experience. I value curiosity over judgment, collaboration over hierarchy, & honesty paired with compassion. I strive to create a space where clients can explore difficult emotions, identities, & relationships without pressure to have it all figured out. As a first-generation Latinx therapist & child of immigrants, I’m especially attuned to how culture, family expectations, & systemic factors can shape emotional wellbeing. These experiences inform my commitment to culturally responsive, affirming care & ongoing learning. I support inclusive, anti-racist, & LGBTQ+ affirming practices, & aim to offer a space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel safe bringing their full selves into the room. I also believe meaningful change happens at a pace that respects each person’s readiness. Growth often comes from understanding ourselves with more kindness and curiosity.
