About My Clients
I specialize in Trauma-Informed Care, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Family work, and Relational Issues. I work with youth, young adults, adults, couples, families, and minorities. I provide individual, couples, and family sessions. I believe in collaborative therapy, in which we work as a team to explore core issues, process them together, and find ways to help you cope.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from The University of Washington. I received my Master of Counseling Psychology from The City University of Seattle. I completed my clinical internship working with adolescents, youth, school-based, and families. Prior to that, I worked with diverse and underserved populations at a community mental health clinic. I engage in postgraduate training on a regular basis
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My life experiences have taught me a lot about myself. My beliefs, values, traditions, the way I behave and make decisions developed as I gained my sense of self. I grew up with a bi-racial cultural identity, which in turn allowed me to adapt and learn how to create a way of living that works solely for me. I continue to heal and grow from my own personal life experiences and see myself as an avid learner. I also take great appreciation and gratitude when working with my clients because they have taught me a lot and helped me develop skills and grow as a mental health professional.
