About My Clients
I consider myself bicultural/bilingual and I'm committed and passionate to serving the underserved communities. I provide counseling services in both English and Spanish. Me considero bicultural/bilingue. Tengo el compromiso y la pasion de poder servir a las comunidades marginadas o con desventajas. Proporciono servicios terapeuticos en Espanol y en Ingles.
My Background and Approach
I received my early training from Alvarado Parkway Institute (API) treating adults at the inpatient level of care; and continued my clinical work with Southwestern Community College (SWC). I also have had the opportunity to facilitate therapeutic groups at both PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient program) levels of care treating eating disorders such as; binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa and obesity at the UCSD Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research (CHEAR). Al principio de mi entrenamiento clinico; practique en el hospital psiquiatrico Alvarado Parkway Institute (API) tratando adultos hospitalizados; y continue en el Colegio Comunitario Southwestern. Tambien tuve la oportunidad llevar a cabo grupos terapeuticos en el Programa de Hospitalizacion Parcial y Programa de Cuidados intensivos tratando desordenes alimenticios como trastornos por atracon, bulimia nerviosa y obesidad en la Universidad de UCSD CHEAR.

Every individual has the ability and power to re-discover their internal strengths to increase resiliency and self-efficacy. I'm honored and humble to be part of this journey with you. Cada individuo tiene la habilidad y el poder para re-descubrir sus cualidades internas y asi poder incrementar su capacidad de reponerse a momentos criticos y adaptarse. Asi como tambien; de nutrir la creencia que tenemos en sacar adelante tareas y proyectos con exito. Me siento con el honor y humildad de poder ser parte de esta experiencia contigo.
