About My Clients
I work best with individuals and couples who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, self-doubt, or disconnection and want to understand themselves more deeply, especially when these struggles are influenced by gender roles and cultural expectations. My clients are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, identity questions, or the impact of long-standing relational stress. They’re thoughtful, reflective, and ready to explore new ways of relating to themselves and others.
My Background and Approach
I’m an AMFT with training in feminist, relational, and narrative approaches to therapy. My experience working with individuals, couples, and families allows me to help clients understand patterns, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with their sense of agency and self-worth. My training emphasizes culturally-responsive and client-centered therapy. We will collaborate on therapeutic goals, move at a pace that feels right to you, and honors the strategies that helped you survive. Rather than focusing on problems or symptoms, therapy becomes a space to understand how your responses developed and what may no longer be serving you. From there, we can begin to imagine and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others. I practice under clinical supervision and bring care, curiosity, and collaboration to each session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is most effective when it honors the social and cultural contexts that shape our lives. My work is informed by anti-oppressive values, with careful attention to power, equity, and lived experience. I approach therapy as a collaborative process in which you are the expert on your life, and I strive to create a space that is respectful, affirming, and open to feedback. I’m committed to ongoing learning around race, gender, sexuality, class, and ability, and to practicing with humility and accountability. Outside the therapy room, I’m involved in community care efforts with a mutual aid group providing meals and supplies to under-resourced neighbors in Los Angeles, which reflects my belief that healing is relational and deeply connected to community.
