About My Clients
I work with adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Many struggle with insomnia, racing thoughts, nightmares, or the lingering impact of trauma. My clients want relief, clarity, and a therapist who is warm, direct, and understands cultural context. I help them build healthier habits, process what’s weighing on them, and create lasting emotional and physical well-being.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Colombian Latina therapist with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care. My work blends evidence-based tools with cultural awareness and a warm, grounded style. I help clients understand how sleep, stress, identity, and past experiences impact their mind and body. My approach is active, collaborative, and structured—you’ll always know what we’re doing and why. Whether we’re addressing insomnia, anxiety, or trauma, I use practical strategies that create real, lasting change and support you in building a healthier relationship with sleep, emotions, and daily life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be clear, supportive, and genuinely useful. People deserve more than a space to vent—they deserve tools, insight, and a therapist who shows up with authenticity and cultural awareness. I believe sleep is a foundation of mental health, and when we improve sleep, everything else improves with it. I also believe that trauma, anxiety, and life transitions don’t define us; they shape us, but they don’t have to control the present. My work is guided by compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and empowered to create change at their own pace.
