About My Clients
I work with individuals struggling with OCD, anxiety, eating disorders, and other related disorders who want help finding calm and ease in their daily lives. Many come to me with a buzzing mind that feels disconnected from who they are and want to remember themselves. I help clients understand their patterns, learn practical tools, and reconnect with their values, guiding them toward a life that feels freer, more grounded, and authentically their own.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness skills. I also have specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which I use to heal deeper wounds, often underlying OCD. More specifically, I first help clients regain control through targeted behavioral work, and then support deeper healing by addressing underlying trauma using parts-based approaches. By integrating these approaches, I help clients understand their default patterns, manage symptoms, and create a freer, more values-based life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was raised in a strictly religious environment, which gave me a deep understanding of the certain moral scrupulosity that often accompanies OCD. Because of this, I am deeply passionate about reducing the stigma and shame associated with OCD, particularly around taboo themes like POCD, and I bring empathy from my own lived experience navigating these challenges. My pre-med background and experience as a medical assistant showed me that Western medicine often focuses on treating symptoms rather than addressing deeper psychological roots. This inspired me to become a therapist, guiding clients to heal from the inside out, build self-sufficiency, and regain a sense of agency over their lives.
