About My Clients

My typical client lives life outside the box and is looking to make sense of their past, break out of unhelpful patterns, explore their identities and desires, and work toward safe, meaningful connection with others. Many have had difficult childhoods and struggle with connection. Most are LGBTQIA+ and/or neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, bipolar). Many practice alternative relationship models (kink/BDSM, non-monogamy). Some are spiritually alternative, some are SWers. And all are welcome!

My Background and Approach

I've been in the business of helping people since 2010. After working in sex ed and counseling, I completed intensive clinical training in trauma-informed psychotherapy and dedicated myself to making therapy more accessible and affirming for those who don't fit neatly into society's norms of gender, sexuality, relationships, and cultures—those of us who often feel unseen or misunderstood in both society and traditional therapy settings. My approach is based on relational psychodynamic therapy and radically affirming, trauma-informed care with a systemic lens. I focus on making sure ALL of you is seen and supported: psychological, biological, social, spiritual. Work with me involves vulnerability, authenticity, collaboration, and really showing up—both of us! We'll explore past/present relationships and build a blueprint for safety and more fulfilling relationships with others and with yourself—starting in the here-and-now, in session. My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that our relationships, our place in society, and the systems we're a part of shape how we live and love, and that deep, genuine, attuned connection helps us heal from relational wounds and live our most authentic, fulfilling lives. I also believe that radical authenticity and affirmation are both healing and transformative. For this reason, I'm open about being neurodivergent, queer, spiritually alternative, and experienced with alternative lifestyle practices and relationship structures. Community care as well as community advocacy are very important to me. I'm a member of the Queer Care Collective, an advocacy/organizing collective of queer therapists in Berlin working to make mental health care more accessible and affirming. I'm also active in addressing mental health in subcultures; I will soon be giving a talk for other therapists on mental health and the goth community, among other initiatives. I believe in embracing our shadows and walking through them, together!
