About My Clients
Does it feel like you have been carrying a weight you can't seem to put down? Like you're not enough, and yet too much at the same time? Feeling constantly on edge, trying to anticipate what might go wrong? I work with women, teens and young adults struggling with CPTSD, mood disorders, life transitions, challenging relationship patterns, abuse history, body image issues, and more.
My Background and Approach
Modalities used as a foundation for my work include Relational Therapy, IFS, and ACT. Relational therapy means we utilize the therapeutic relationship as a space to heal relational wounds. With IFS, we explore why your emotional system operates the way it does with compassion. ACT will support you in taking action aligned with your values and goals. I received EMDR basic training and IFS-informed supervision while working towards my clinical license. I have worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, eating disorder outpatient, and in-home therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I operate from a social justice framework, always considering the sociopolitical influences on your individual lived experience. I often make connections to any influences of systematic issues on your lived experience and identity. This perspective allows me to have much deeper understanding of my clients, and therefore, more powerful outcomes in therapy. My values include intersectionality, feminism, health at every size, and LGBTQ+ affirming (to name a few). I continue to engage in education, advocacy, and community care as often as I can.
