About My Clients
My clients often describe feeling caught between their past experiences and the person they aspire to become. If you are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or major life transitions while also exploring questions around identity, purpose, or relationships, I provide a supportive space to make sense of these layers. I work primarily with adolescents and young adults who are seeking a space to understand their thoughts and patterns and to begin healing what feels stuck.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a B.A. from UC Berkeley and an MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, art-based therapy, and narrative therapy. In our work, I help you recognize the beliefs and patterns that may be holding you back, while supporting you in developing coping skills and reframing your story in empowering ways. I see therapy as a collaborative process — one that balances self-reflection with practical tools for everyday life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach therapy through a social justice oriented lens, recognizing that personal experiences and struggles do not exist in isolation, but are often shaped by broader systems, histories, and social conditions. I believe it’s essential to explore the layers of one's identity such as one's culture, gender, socio-economic background, sexual orientation, and spiritual beliefs. I strongly in each person’s capacity for change through centering one's unique abilities and strengths. Healing isn’t about fixing what’s “broken,” but about reconnecting with the parts of ourselves that have had to adapt and survive. I see therapy as both personal and collective work — a space to reclaim agency, imagine new possibilities, and move toward liberation in everyday life.
