About My Clients
I specialize in working with adults on anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and adjusting to life changes. Young adulthood is often a time of many transitions, life choices, and anxieties. It may also be the first time you have the freedom to explore your mental health. My goal as your therapist is not only improving symptoms, but also helping you build your own resiliency and mental wellness.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University in 2016. Since then, I've continued my education and built interest and skills specifically in the areas of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Internal Family Systems, all approaches that are shown to be effective for anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion in offering online counseling is in the belief that mental health services should be accessible and affordable. Factors such as transportation, living in a rural area, having a very busy work load or family to care for, traveling often, or having unconventional work hours (as many of us do these days!) should not hinder anyone from receiving mental health services.
