About My Clients
No matter what they do, it never feels enough. They feel exhausted, anxious, and burnt out. My clients have difficulty saying no; taking on too many tasks out of fear of disappointing others. They tend to be the "strong one" that others turn to for support but feel alone in their struggles. Their relentless self-criticism gets in the way of the life they want. Like my clients, you deserve balance and to prioritize yourself without guilt. Calm and confidence are not out of your reach.
My Background and Approach
I work with clients who desire something different than continuously doubting themselves and their worth. Clients who need more balance and peace but don’t know how to get there. I’m not your stereotypical “smile and nod” therapist. I’m human first and I value authenticity. I bring my full self into the therapeutic room and it’s not uncommon for my clients and me to briefly chat about reality tv. I find that my clients and I can do deep meaningful work by tending to their needs with care, insight, and compassion. Together we will explore how long-standing patterns of coping have served you in the past but may be getting in the way of the life you want. We will work towards increasing self-compassion to quiet that inner critic and feel more connected to your authentic self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly value relationships and this translates into the therapeutic space. While we can be hurt in relationships and through larger systems of oppression, I believe we can heal through relationships with others and ourselves. I take great care to build a sense of safety and security with my clients where all parts of themselves are welcomed and appreciated.
