About My Clients

My clients are residents of Maryland and range from teenagers to adults from all walks of life who are working through transitions or seeking a more authentic way of being. Many of my clients are navigating their gender or sexual identity in the face of family, religion, or societal expectations. Some of my clients are tired of feeling generally *bad* due to anxiety, depression, past trauma, body image issues, or low-self esteem. They seek the feeling of worthiness and love that we all deserve.

My Background and Approach

My approach is patient, open, and flexible. I find that therapy works best when you (the client) have full agency to determine how we work. I first want to learn about YOU and then I bring in different modalities including Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and CBT to see what’s most effective for you. My approach to therapy is heavily influenced by both my lived experience and my education as a clinical and macro social worker. I completed my Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2020. My training and work has included supporting teenagers, parents, and teachers. As a queer, cis, white, fat woman I work to find power and agency in the world, and to use my privilege to amplify the power and agency of others, specifically those from historically and currently marginalized groups, including people of the global majority, queer and trans individuals, and young women. I strive to make social justice the heart of my work.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that all individuals have the right to lead happy, affirming, healthy lives and only the individual knows what that means for themself. Life is fluid, complicated, beautiful, dark, and there is no one right way to do it. I'm incredibly passionate about supporting those who seek to build just, inclusive, loving environments. I'm particularly passionate about racial justice, queer jubilation, feminism and body positivity.
