About My Clients

The individuals who I work with are often self-professed high-achievers or perfectionists. They may feel stuck in patterns of behavior that aren’t making them happy. They may feel burdened and overwhelmed by their emotions. They may feel like their close relationships are problematic or unfulfilling. They may have experienced a loss that shook their world. I offer the guidance and tools to help you navigate your life and experience greater moments of joy and peace.

My Background and Approach

I've witnessed my clients experience an improved relationship with themselves, and hence, live happier lives. My treatment approach is a combination of providing concrete tools that you can implement for immediate relief, along with a safe space for you to openly express your deepest thoughts and feelings. You will always feel understood and heard. I draw from a number of proven effective counseling theories in our work together, including CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, mindfulness and narrative therapy. I also draw heavily from neuroscience research and neuropsychology. My style as a therapist is characterized by offering compassionate care, warmth, nonjudgement, gentle directness and humor. I have an undergraduate degree in Communications and Studio Art from Boston College, and my Master’s degree is in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. My background as an artist allows me to creatively problem solve the best possible treatment and outcomes for my clients.
