About My Clients
I work with adults, teenagers, and couples navigating life transitions, grief and loss, serious illness, difficulty with relationships, spiritual/existential distress, traumatic experiences, and identity exploration. I also don't believe that there has to be a “problem” for someone to enter therapy, and I am excited to work with anyone who is seeking greater insight.
My Background and Approach
As a clinical social worker, I am especially tuned in to the ways that our broader systems and environments impact our mental, social, and emotional wellbeing. I utilize relational psychodynamic approaches to therapy, working collaboratively with clients to create meaning and change. My approach to therapy centers around the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the healing factor and that YOU are the expert on your life. We'll work together to co-create a unique therapy to suit your needs and strengths. I prioritize understanding present experiences within the context of broader systems and your personal history. My experience as a yoga instructor and medical social worker has shaped the way I show up in the therapy space: authentic, grounded, and ready to meet you wherever you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that mental health and wellbeing are deeply rooted in our environment, relationships, and community. Healing and growth isn't something that happens alone or just in therapy. My hope is that our work together will empower you to feel more connected not just to yourself but to the people and communities you are a part of.
