About My Clients
My clients are intelligent, driven, and successful by most external measures — and privately, they're often running on empty. They tend to hold themselves to impossibly high standards, struggle to say no, and feel disconnected from their own needs even as they meet everyone else's. Many are working through anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship difficulties, or self-worth issues that trace back to early attachment experiences.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an MSW from Columbia University and over 10 years of experience as a therapist, supervisor, and program director across private practice, residential, and outpatient settings. I'm a Certified DBT Clinician® through the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. My approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, Prolonged Exposure, and Mindful Self-Compassion — meaning you get a treatment plan built around evidence-based skills, not just talk therapy. In practice, this means you'll leave sessions with concrete tools for regulating emotion and shifting long-standing patterns, not just insight without a path forward.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe human connection is an essential need, one that deserves real nurturing, not just occasional attention. I'm also drawn to creative expression as a source of healing and growth, and I try to bring that same openness into my work with clients. Outside of session, you'll usually find me within a mile of the beach or immersed in nature. I believe there's real value in slowing down and reconnecting with the world around you, and I try to carry that same grounded presence into the therapy room. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative, non-judgmental partnership, and I'm committed to offering premium, evidence-based care that never loses its human touch.
