About My Clients
My clients are adults experiencing functional challenges due to mental health symptoms, neurodiversity, sensory processing challenges, or chronic health conditions. They may be facing a difficult transition - such as graduation, and change in work role, a new health condition, new parenthood, or retirement. My clients want to engage fully in their lives.
My Background and Approach
Do you ever feel like you are just surviving, rather than living? Do you feel stuck, or like you experience the world differently than others? I have been an OT in acute inpatient and outpatient behavioral health for over 12 years. Occupational therapists are unique practitioners in our expertise in neurological function, and our use of everyday activities as therapy. I will help you engage in meaningful activity while helping you learn to cope with what may make daily life difficult. I am versed in a variety of therapeutic techniques and customize my work to meet your needs, priorities, abilities and interests. A session with me may look like collaborating together to strategize a solution to a problem. It may also look like engaging side by side (over video) in an activity designed to reinforce your strengths and inspire you to new involvement outside our sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people have the right to engage fully in their lives no matter where they are in a healing or change process, and no matter their unique strengths and abilities.
