About My Clients
Clients seeing me are looking to feel understood and gain understanding and recognize that, as Albert Einstein said, “no problem can be solved by the same level of consciousness that created it.” Are you are feeling chronically unhappy, angry, fearful, or stuck? Do you have conflicted relationships with friends/family? My Background and Approach
I'm skilled in parenting and family interventions, understanding that we learn most of our coping techniques from a young age. A unique service I offer is one in which I involve parents and children in family sessions. This helps build closer connections and leads to a happier home environment. I also offer Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to clients who are interested in working on emotion regulation/mindfulness. As a former clinical supervisor of a psychiatric facility, I have worked with clients of all ages and various presenting issues. I am trained in EMDR for trauma. I have a certification in financial social work. I do talk therapy to explore how your attachment history impacts your current life, and I have the ability to blend therapeutic techniques to fit your unique needs. Recently I completed a certification in telemental health for online therapy. I love being effective and helpful. Let's collaborate!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach therapy with unconditional positive regard and with a focus on strengths. I am a strong supporter of the LGBTQI community, Black Lives Matter, March for Our Lives, and the feminist movement. Equality is an important lens from which clients can learn to assert their needs resolve conflict.
