About My Clients
I graduated from the University of Southern California where I obtained my Masters's in Social Work. After graduating I completed my clinical hours working in acute psychiatric care and then with adults and families struggling with the loss of housing. The experience I gained has humbled me and contributed to the significance I hold in providing trauma-informed and culturally competent care. After becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have enjoyed working in a private practice setting.
My Background and Approach
I am certified in EMDR, Brainspotting, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, a registered yoga teacher, and a Reiki Master. I work with older adults, adults, and adolescents.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice philosophy is client-centered, strengths-based, and guided by the premise that I can be a conduit supporting each client through their reasons for seeking therapy, including increasing understanding, and transformation. I incorporate somatic (mind-body) therapy into talk therapy modalities when clinically indicated. I believe that the mind-body connection is significant. I strive to empower each client and utilize a kind, compassionate, open, humanistic approach. During my days off, I share an appreciation for nature, spending time with my family, gardening, yoga, DIY candles/soaps, and walking my dogs.
