About My Clients
I help adults facing anxiety, stress at work or in relationships, trauma, grief, substance use or recovery, feeling overwhelmed, self-esteem issues, or big life changes. I welcome those who often handle things alone, including men who are new to therapy. You don’t need to know what’s wrong or have the perfect words before reaching out. We can begin with what’s happening for you right now.
My Background and Approach
I’m an MSW and Certified Recovery Support Specialist. My background includes crisis response, suicide and self-harm intervention, recovery support, substance use, trauma, and community behavioral health. Through this work, I’ve learned how to stay steady with tough topics and help people find practical next steps. I use a person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative approach. Depending on what you need, I might use motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT skills, psychoeducation, grounding, mindfulness, narrative work, or practical problem-solving. We can also look at communication and relationship patterns if they’re causing stress.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I think therapy is most helpful when you can be honest without feeling judged, pressured, or labeled. I see you as the expert on your own life. My job is to help you notice patterns, build on your strengths, and make changes that are important to you. I don’t think therapy should be the same for everyone. Some people need space to process what they’ve been through, while others want practical tools, accountability, or a new way to tackle a problem. Often, it’s a mix. I value curiosity, compassion, self-determination, recovery, and real progress. We can talk openly about tough experiences, uncertainty, mistakes, or parts of yourself you might not share elsewhere, while also making space for humor, hope, and what matters most to you.
