My Background and Approach
For most of my life, I really struggled. I tried everything; I went to therapy, and workshops, and yoga, and monasteries, and ashrams, and sweat lodges, and...you get the idea. I've taken the best of everything that I've learned and distilled it into a mission of helping others, like you. I truly believe that therapy is sacred work in which the therapeutic relationship is one of mutual respect and collaboration. My style is integrative and holistic and intends to restore balance to body, mind, and spirit, with the ultimate goal of empowering you to become the best YOU possible. Yeah, I have some woo-woo beliefs, but clients tell me that I'm very down to Earth, empathetic, accepting, intuitive and that they feel understood and safe during session. I employ Mindfulness and Acceptance Based modalities as well as Somatic (Body-centered) techniques, and "Parts" work (IFS) along with liberal doses of humor, encouragement, and insight.
