About My Clients

If you ever experienced difficulties managing depression and anxiety, regulating your emotions or recovering from traumatic experiences; or perhaps struggled creating and maintaining healthy relationships and boundaries, increasing self care, or adjusting to life transitions and new cultures, you may find my support helpful. I help people discover/recover purpose and meaning, integrating meaningful and difficult experiences, through a mindful, playful and compassionate approach.

My Background and Approach

As a therapist working at The Child Therapy Institute, I work from an integrative approach, and work collaboratively with my clients, respecting and supporting their unique expression, preferences and values. Therapy is a unique journey, so the techniques, modalities and tools I use may look very different from one case to the other: from the spiritual to the practical, and from the here and now to past and childhood concerns. My main objective is to support clients achieving a state of wellbeing, so they can enhance their functioning and live more fulfilling lives, love themselves more. I was trained in Counseling and Clinical Psychology, Chemical Dependency, Expressive Arts Therapy, Trauma treatment and EMDR. I use a relational, embodied psychotherapy lens, combining Narrative Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, trauma-informed treatment, EMDR Therapy, Mindfulness, CBT, DBT and restorative practices; and work from an inclusive and culturally and structurally competent perspective.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a bicultural, bilingual person that lived around the world, my work is informed by integration of very seemingly disimilar experiences. My experiences helped me increase my genuine interest, respect and acceptance of diverse cultural worldviews, while maintaining my own identity. I work with humility, intentionality and presence. Through my work, training and personal experience, I developed a deep appreciation for the use of the arts and embodied practices as healing modalities. I invite clients gently to explore this possibility, but never impose them. Yes, I am a therapist, but foremost, I am a human being, and as such, I aim to bring deep sense of connection within myself, with my clients, with nature and the larger world. I honor my strengths and limitations, as well as yours. My clients love my "realness", use of humor, and appropriate self disclosure. I hope we can be a good fit, but if not, I will happily refer you.
