About My Clients
I already know you are worthy of a life full of joy. As a queer, trans, multiracial, or Asian American person, you are innately deserving of love and compassion, though you may have been told that you aren’t enough. My specialties are LGBTQ+ affirming therapy for multiracial or Asian American folks, focused on your relationships with others and with yourself.
My Background and Approach
As a PSYPACT psychologist, I provide therapy to clients in 39+ states across the US. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. I’ve pursued specialized training in several therapies, including experiential, dynamic approaches; cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT); dialectical behavior therapy (DBT); trauma-informed care; Internal Family Systems (IFS); Buddhism-informed approaches to psychotherapy; advanced couples therapy; and psychedelic-assisted therapy (specifically the MAPS MDMA protocol). In my work with clients, I blend these therapies together with a client-centered, relational cultural, and feminist approach, customizing the treatment for each new client I sit down with.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Counseling offices have not always been safe or accessible for queer folks. As a therapist and practice owner, I am on a mission to make psychotherapy accessible, safe, and affirming for all. In my work with LGBTQ+ clients across 39+ states, I am personally committed to creating a comfortable environment in which you can explore your concerns and celebrate all that makes you special. I am also a signer of the Gender Affirming Letter Access Project (GALAP) pledge. Read more about this commitment and specialized work on my website.
