About My Clients

I work with children, adolescents, and adults—but especially enjoy supporting people ages 18–35 navigating life transitions. I connect best with folks who are motivated for change, even if they’re unsure how to get there or afraid of what change might mean. Whether it’s anxiety, identity, trauma, or something else, I offer a space to sort through the mess and move forward in a way that fits you.

My Background and Approach

I hold a BA in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from the University of New Mexico, and dual master’s degrees: an MS in Behavior Analysis from Simmons University and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England. I’ve worked in community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, residential care, and outpatient therapy with clients ranging from age 4 to their 90s. My approach is eclectic and client-centered, grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also draw from CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, play therapy, motivational interviewing, and strength-based approaches, among others. I’m currently interested in deepening my work through training in OCD treatment, sand tray therapy, accelerated resolution therapy (ART), and transference-focused therapy. Therapy with me is collaborative and real. You’re the driver, and I’m in the passenger seat helping you navigate.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe life is about growth. Being a good person means learning when you are wrong, making it right, and doing better next time. You don't know what you don't know, and when you do know, you do better. I try to live this in my personal life and in my work. I am a Christian who believes "they will know we are Christians by our love," and to me, that means loving everybody. Jesus loved the sinner, the saint, the rich, the poor, the immigrant, the sick. I believe in loving people deeply and without condition. I am horrified by the idea that being a good Christian means judging or hating others. That is not the kind of faith I live. I support and affirm the LGBTQ+ community and believe everyone deserves safety, compassion, and respect. I also believe that while diagnoses can help us understand, they should never define a person. When I find bias in myself, I want to face it, grow, and repair.
