About My Clients
I come from a warm and compassionate standpoint, and I want to meet you where you are. I know each of us have common themes in our lives, but your experience is unique and specific to you! I have a therapy "toolbox" that I am constantly adapting and updating to fit each client’s individual needs. Some therapeutic lenses I pull from are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and Existential Therapy.
My Background and Approach
I have a Bachelors in psychology and a minor in world religion. I completed my Masters in Marriage Family Therapy at Touro University where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. The majority of my field experience was done at a hospice, where I sat bedside with patients and then continued with the families.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You’re at a loss. Some days are good, and you think your headed in the right direction, and then all of a sudden... someone says the smallest thing, and it hits you the wrong way. Puts you in tears, and your spiraling down. What happened? I thought everything was getting better. Now what? You miss your loved one, and all you want to do is hug them one last time. Tell them how much they mean to you. It’s not fair. Why did this happen? Or maybe your getting a divorce and your feeling stuck. You don’t know how to move forward. I get it. I get you. I hear you! You want to feel like you again, or even a better version of yourself. You’ve been caring for others for so long, that you don’t even know who “you” are. You just want to feel motivated and happy. You want to enjoy some of the things you used to do. You want to try new things and not be afraid. Your looking for that something, that can help heal your heart.
