About My Clients
You’re used to being the responsible one. You anticipate what everyone needs, rarely ask for help, and put a lot of pressure on yourself to get things right. From the outside, you seem capable and put together. Inside, you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or exhausted from always being “on.” I work especially well with eldest and parentified daughters, high achievers, and people navigating perfectionism, people-pleasing, guilt, and the pressure to take care of everyone else.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed therapist in Texas who specializes in working with eldest and parentified daughters, high achievers, and adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and hyper-responsibility. My approach primarily integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR to help you understand not only what you’re doing, but why certain patterns can feel so hard to change. My training includes an LPC-Associate Fellowship at The Menninger Clinic, EMDR Basic Training, integration of EMDR and IFS, Somatic Embodiment & Regulation, DBT, and ACT. Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and conversational. We might get curious about the part of you that feels responsible for everyone, where the pressure to get things “right” comes from, or why setting a boundary can make complete sense logically and still feel awful. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build trust in your own needs, and feel less overwhelmed by the pressure to hold everything together.
