Hello! I am a queer and non-binary therapist who offers an affirming space for those who are 2SLGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, kinky, and polyam.
Clinical Social Worker in Phoenix, AZ
I believe that grief is a journey that is unique to all of us, and that there is no right or wrong way grieve. I will provide a safe space for you to share your unique experience with grief as we explore your own grief process.
Many of my clients struggle various anxiety related concerns. Through actively listening to their concerns, I help alongside my clients in finding coping skills, confidence and understanding of their symptoms. I believe that anxiety manifests itself to communicate information and my role is to help people find what their anxiety is trying to communicate to them.
Members of the LGBTQ community face many unique challenges. These issues may include, coming out, acceptance, discrimination, fluidity and the intersections of race and gender. Within my approach, I provide a safe and judgement free space to explore these issues, as they are unique to them. I help empower clients to feel confident in who they are and express themselves authentically.
Anxiety can feel extremely overwhelming and can show up in various ways. It can be the racing thoughts that keep us at night, the changes in our breathing, or the fear that "something must be seriously wrong with me." I help my clients gain coping skills, confidence and understanding of their symptoms. I believe that anxiety shows up in our lives as a way to communicate information and my role is to help people find what their anxiety is trying to communicate.
The majority of my professional career has been working alongside survivors of trauma. What I see most often, is that people's traumatic experiences change the way they view themselves, others and the world. I am training in both EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Although I treat many types of trauma, I specialize in treating sexual trauma, military related trauma and trauma experienced within the LGBTQ+ community.
