Thoughtful, relational therapy for teens, adults, and families seeking greater understanding, connection, and lasting change.

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in San Rafael, CA

About My Clients

I work with teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship patterns, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, substance use, and process addictions. I’m also a good fit for people who are not in crisis but want a consistent space to understand themselves, feel more grounded, and make meaningful changes. You do not need to have the perfect words or a clearly defined problem to begin.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, concentration in Integral Counseling Psychology. My approach is relational, client-centered, and holistic, meaning I consider the whole person rather than viewing symptoms in isolation. I help clients explore how relationships, past experiences, emotions, patterns, and different parts of themselves may be shaping the present. I believe meaningful change often begins with greater curiosity and less judgment, including learning to understand and accept the parts of ourselves we may feel ashamed of or wish we could change. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded. Therapy with me can include both deeper reflection and practical support for navigating relationships, emotions, transitions, and meaningful change. My goal is not to “fix” you, but to help you feel more connected to yourself and move through life with greater understanding and self-compassion.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people do not need to be “fixed” in order to deserve support. Anxiety, grief, uncertainty, anger, overwhelm, and disconnection are part of being human, and therapy can help us relate to those experiences with more curiosity and less shame. I value authenticity, humor, creativity, and making room for lightness even when life is hard. Outside the therapy room, I’m drawn to nature, yoga, art, reading, puzzles, and math. My background in art history taught me to notice patterns, meaning, and beauty in unexpected places; my love of puzzles probably explains why I also enjoy helping clients break overwhelming problems into smaller, workable pieces. I care deeply about creating a space where all parts of a person are welcome, and where growth can be compassionate, realistic, and sustainable.
