About My Clients
You're exhausted from solving problems that no longer exist. If you feel constantly braced for a crisis that has already passed or may still come, your system is likely stuck in survival mode. That weight isn't a character flaw; it's an outdated operating system draining your energy. Together we will shift that default, turning your history from a burden into an engine for growth, so you can stop the cycle of reactive living and take back the clarity and confidence anxiety has been borrowing.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I hold a PhD in Counselor Education from Provident University, an MA in Counseling & Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana Monroe, and a BA in Sociology from Brigham Young University. I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups. My approach is integrative and culturally sensitive: rather than asking you to fit into a box, we use your background, identity, and lived history as a source of strength for growth. I draw on approaches including Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Existential and Gestalt therapy, and Person-Centered work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Healing is hard enough; you shouldn’t have to act as a tour guide for your own identity. If you’re tired of shrinking or 'translating' who you are just to be understood, you’re paying a cultural tax you don't owe. We’ve flipped the script. Instead of asking you to fit into a box, we use your race, gender, and lived history as the actual engine for your growth. Your background isn’t a hurdle—it’s your greatest source of power. This is care that finally 'gets it' on autopilot. Stop explaining your existence and start using your whole story to heal. It’s time to take up space without saying a single word of apology.
