About My Clients
If you're struggling with your mental health, or simply need a trained professional to guide you through life's ups and downs, I offer a non-judgmental, peaceful space for processing the sometimes overwhelming emotions and thoughts that accompany depression, work/family/school stressors, separation and divorce, grief, chronic illness, trauma, life changes, and relationship issues.
My Background and Approach
I believe in focusing on my client's strengths, experiences, and perceptions as my guide to paving the way forward and developing a treatment plan that reduces my client's unpleasant symptoms and increases a client's resiliency, ability to cope, and capacity to resolve the issues underlying the problem. Let's work together in challenging the limited, unproductive ways of thinking and behaving that keeps us "stuck" in life, so that personal growth is possible!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in making the most of life and trying to "roll with the punches", which requires resiliency, healthy coping skills, accountability, gratitude, and making peace with the past so one can move forward and experience personal growth. At different times in my life, I've had to take an honest look at myself - my behaviors and thought patterns - that have contributed to unhealthy relationships and coping mechanisms, feeling stuck, and feelings of anger, depression, and anxiety. I believe that a good therapist can help you see the issues at play, make you feel understood and that your feelings matter, and then work on healing and moving forward. This is where I come in! On a personal note, I am passionate about women's rights, the environment, and life-long learning. In my spare time you'll find me with my family, my fur babies, listening to podcasts, cooking, working out, traveling, reading and learning, and "nesting" in my home.
