About My Clients
Transformation is hard work, but I'm here to help. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard and understood while we work together to construct stronger, healthier lives. My integrative approach draws from various therapeutic modalities, allowing me to design individualized treatment plans. Specializing in men's issues, adults with mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, and stress. I also work with TEENS struggling with Anxiety, OCD, and Depression.
My Background and Approach
Experience/Educ. Mayo Clinic, Department of Psychology – 24 yrs; Compassion Counseling Center – Supervisor at this Christian Lay Counseling Center—10 yrs Master of Arts in Counseling & Psychological Services from St. Marys University of Minnesota; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology& Sociology from South Dakota State University. Evidence-Based Modalities: Exposure Response Prevention: I help clients confront their fear and anxiety, reducing distress and increasing resilience. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT): I help clients transform behaviors and emotions by identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and fostering positive change. Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT): I help clients embrace their emotions and values while developing mindfulness and acceptance skills. Solution-Focused Therapy: I help clients identify strengths and practical solutions to their challenges. I am well-versed in integrating Christian principles into therapy for those seeking a faith-based approach.
