About My Clients

I enjoy working with individuals who often feel like outsiders—gamers, LGBTQ+ folks, the neurodiverse—navigating identity, grief, overwhelm, or relational challenges. If traditional therapy hasn't resonated with you, let's explore a space that's curious, non-pathologizing, and culturally attuned.

My Background and Approach

With over 30 years as a licensed clinical social worker and experience teaching at Harvard Medical School, I bring a depth of clinical knowledge rooted in psychodynamic theory. My work is informed by an understanding of how early relationships, attachment patterns, and unconscious processes shape our current lives. I specialize in anxiety, grief, LGBTQ+ identities, and issues around technology, gaming, and identity. My practice is also firmly grounded in an anti-oppressive, anti-racist framework. I am committed to challenging systems of harm and creating space where clients can explore not just internal conflicts, but the external sociopolitical forces that impact them. I strive to meet people in their full humanity—with compassion, critical thought, and cultural humility.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I see therapy as both an act of resistance and a space for reclamation. My practice is shaped by the belief that healing happens not through erasing our wounds, but by understanding them within the larger cultural and systemic context in which we live. I draw from social justice, queer theory, and anti-racist values to co-create a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative, honest, and deeply attuned. I believe that neutrality in the face of injustice is complicity—and I bring my authentic self, including my politics, into the room. This doesn’t mean therapy becomes about me, but rather that I don’t hide behind a clinical mask. I strive to be a real, present, curious, and accountable human being in the room with you. Therapy with me won’t be sterile—it will be relational, complex, and anchored in mutual respect.
