About My Clients
Have you been holding it together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside? Maybe you're struggling with anxiety, grief, family conflict, past experiences that still affect you today, or simply trying to understand yourself better. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families who want a space where they can feel heard, supported, and accepted. I view therapy as a partnership. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to carry it alone.
My Background and Approach
I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (RMFTI) in the state of Florida. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University and continued on to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rollins College, where I also completed specialized training in Family and Relationship Therapy. I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation, and relationship difficulties. My goal is not to "fix" you, but to help you reconnect with your strengths and discover what healing looks like for you. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and free to be yourself. I draw from person-centered, narrative, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches to help you build coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported exactly as they are. My approach to counseling is grounded in compassion, social justice, and a deep respect for the diverse identities, experiences, and backgrounds that shape each person's story. I am an affirming ally to the LGBTQ+ community and am passionate about creating a safe, inclusive space where individuals can explore their identities, relationships, and life experiences without fear of judgment. I also care deeply about issues related to equity, access to mental health care, and the impact that larger systems and social experiences can have on emotional well-being. Outside of the office, I am often involved in advocacy and volunteer efforts focused on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), domestic violence awareness, and breaking cycles of generational trauma. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of healing, resilience, and community support.
