Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by past experiences, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or constantly putting others' needs before your own. You want things to be different, but you just can't seem to find the right next step.
My Background and Approach
I approach therapy from an integrative theoretical perspective, meaning I try to meet your needs in a personalized way. In sessions, you have the freedom to talk about whatever comes to your mind and should never feel you have to censor yourself. I like to emphasize self-awareness, build insight and help you become aware of unconscious processes and patterns you may be experiencing. At times, I may help you develop specific skills such as setting boundaries, learning coping skills, changing thoughts, or facing fears in a safe way. I can help you connect with your inner experience and decrease your avoidance of your feelings. I have training related to gender and sexuality, somatic techniques, and complex trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every challenge carries the potential for growth. No struggle is ever wasted; each experience—when met with patience, support, and perseverance—strengthens us in meaningful ways. Inspired by Orson F. Whitney’s reminder that our trials build our character, I view each person’s journey as an opportunity to cultivate resilience and purpose. I understand first hand the patterns and behaviors that come from constantly feeling unsafe and having a dysregulated nervous system. I understand the experience of emotional neglect and the impact it continues to have even when you are out of that environment. I want to provide the safe space you need to heal and feel comfortable in your own body. I take the opportunity to work with you as a privilege and want to see you reach your goals, heal, and live your best life. I would be honored to help you be the best version of yourself — to get to know you, your personality, values, experiences and individual needs.
