About My Clients
I base my clinical practice on providing a safe, welcoming environment where clients can be their true authentic selves as they explore their needs, emotions, triggers, and vulnerabilities. I use an eclectic, person-centered approach to therapy and apply techniques rooted in Adlerian therapy, CBT, DBT, and Gestalt therapy.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in CBT, DBT, and Person-Centered Therapy for adults and adolescents. I earned my Master's degree from Wake Forest University and have experience supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health challenges. I believe that therapy is for everyone. All people deserve a safe space to be truly heard, understood, and supported. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults facing a wide variety of issues, including depression, mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, ADD/ADHD, self-esteem issues, grief and/or loss, interpersonal relationship issues, and trauma
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion for horses is actually what inspired me to pursue a career in mental healthcare. I have always loved their intuitive nature and how they serve as emotional mirrors into our own selves. Even as a young child, building a trusting relationship and genuine connection was just as thrilling as being able to go for a ride. As I grew up and participated in therapy myself and saw the experiences my loved ones had with receiving mental healthcare, I realized that pursuing that field would give me the opportunity to replicate exactly what I loved about being around horses with other people.
