I help people struggling with anxiety learn to use contemplative practices like meditation and mind-body techniques to heal the mind & heart

Licensed Professional Counselor in Cambridge, MA

About My Clients

If you are tired of struggling with anxiety, stress, and relationship issues, or your mental health is affecting other areas of life, it can be hard to know where to start. Maybe you’ve tried self-help approaches, meditation, yoga, or self-medicating to help you deal with the stress, self-doubt, and burnout but nothing seems to be working. I can help you transform your well-being by incorporating personalized mind-body skills and strategies to address your unique experiences.

My Background and Approach

I use a holistic approach, and together we will explore the connection between how you live and how you feel, teaching you skills that alleviate anxiety. Mental health is impacted by our environment, sleep, physical activity, what we eat, relationships, beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors–and I believe our mental health treatment must explore these elements as components of the whole system. Developing mental health interventions and wellness programming for over twenty years as a licensed, board-certified clinical counselor and certified yoga therapist, I will help you release tension and cultivate resilience so you feel confident to manage whatever you're facing. After conducting years of research on the use of contemplative practices in the Himalayan region of India, Bhutan, and Nepal, I returned to healthcare because it became clear to me that people need direct support in learning how to use these practices to relieve anxiety and other mental health issues.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Committed to transforming and improving healthcare systems, I work across a variety of settings and populations including schools, universities, hospitals, and outpatient and residential mental health and substance use treatment programs. I offer pro-bono services to local non-profits for underserved communities and present my research at conferences and in public forums to make mental healthcare broadly accessible. Having lived and worked in many diverse areas of the US and in several countries has increased my cultural humility and sensitivity to individual needs, as well as my love for diversity in all of its forms and working cross-culturally. Please email me or go to my website to schedule a free consultation to see if we are a good fit to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to working with you.
