My Background and Approach
I’m a compassionate and solution-focused social worker with over 30 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. After earning my Master’s in Social Work from Boston University with a concentration in clinical practice, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting adolescents, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and families facing complex transitions. Trauma-Informed Care & SFBT: I combine trauma-sensitive practices with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients build on their strengths and cultivate resilience. Expressive & Adventure-Based Modalities: Whether through art, creative writing, or outdoor activities. Person-Centered Planning and Family Systems and Parenting Support. My practice is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe that everyone has unique talents and that even small shifts in perspective can lead to big changes in well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that life throws us all curve balls along the way, and I have encountered my share just like everyone else. I believe that having supportive people in our lives, makes even the tough times easier to maneuver. Some people have more support than others and some people feel completed isolated. Through life experiences, self-exploration and education, I have been able to keep moving forward to find the joy that life brings amongst the sadness If you'd like to see how I could help, please send me a message.
