About My Clients

I work with adults who often feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or exhausted from trying to keep up with expectations that don’t fit them. My clients include neurodivergent adults, people living with chronic illness or disability, caregivers and parents of children with disabilities, and those navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or executive functioning challenges. I especially value working with people who have spent years being told they need to try harder, when what they really needed

My Background and Approach

My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other approaches based on each client’s needs and goals. I believe therapy should be flexible rather than one-size-fits-all, so I work with clients to find strategies that are realistic for their lives and energy levels. I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent adults, people navigating chronic illness or disability, and caregivers of children with disabilities. I also enjoy helping clients explore anxiety, executive functioning challenges, life transitions, self-advocacy, and the impact of past experiences on present-day patterns. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood while also having practical support for moving forward.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and change, and sometimes all they need is the right support or tools. I believe that the things we experience can shape who we are, and while trauma can leave lasting impacts, it doesn't have to define who we become. We have the capacity to resculpt ourselves, challenge beliefs we may not even realize we carry, and grow into the person we want to be. I believe that every person is capable and worthy of love. I believe in making the world inclusive and accessible for everyone, and I am very passionate about that. My motto is, “When in doubt, be kind.” I believe that any forward movement is progress, even if you're moving an inch while everyone else is moving a mile. I don't believe that struggling means failing, but rather that it is simply data to be collected. I am especially passionate about supporting disability rights and accessibility, neurodiversity acceptance, LGBTQ+ equality, and reducing barriers to mental healthcare.
