About My Clients
I work with young adults, individuals, couples, teens (16 and older), and families, who face challenges with relationships, anxiety, depression, family disruption, divorce, parental conflict, infidelity, boundary issues, communication struggles, low self-esteem, anger management, trauma and grief and loss. In family therapy, I believe that caregivers are the experts in providing insight into their family and simply bring light to their own expertise.
My Background and Approach
I'm very Person-Centered (Rogerian Theory) in my approach and frequently integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) methods and Gottman Methods of Therapy into sessions as well. I believe this combination to be very helpful and easily applied to various life disruptions, depression, anxiety, trauma and grief and loss. Our habitual thoughts, emotions and responses are directly related to the quality of our relationships and this is where CBT is applied. I'm also a Christian and will gladly integrate these values into therapy sessions if you choose.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are all on this earth to fill several unique, individual purposes and no one individual has the same gifts as anyone else. Because of this, we are all so special and impactful in our own ways. My hope is that I can help you see your own unique gifts and assist in enlightening your greatest potential to be the best version of yourself in all stages in life.
