About My Clients
Are you going through a major life transition? Have you recently moved, navigating singleness, in a new relationship, are trying for a baby or in your postpartum era? Change can be overwhelming and life can look different than we expected it to. I am here to help you process your life circumstances and work collaboratively to find ease with not just coping skills but also a transformed mind.
My Background and Approach
Each person has a unique journey so our first few sessions will be spent getting to know each other, building rapport and creating a personalized plan of action. I am trained in CBT, DBT and ACT and do draw from each of those modalities as needed. I welcome working collaboratively, you are the expert on you and I can assist with noticing patterns, any blindspots and providing validation and gentle challenging of unhelpful beliefs as necessary.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that there is so much hope! Research shows the brain is plastic meaning it can adapt for the better with the right tools. A lot of the time we are doing the best we can with the resources we have at the time and there is always room for healthy growth. I believe in social justice and in my free time volunteer at local non-profit supporting refugees in the community.
