About My Clients
My “style” encompasses a collaborative, person-centered experience that works toward identifying the foundations of your present concerns, while guiding you toward culturally-sensitive insights and meaningful changes. I’m most passionate working with women, artists and POC because of my own lived experiences.
My Background and Approach
While I acknowledge the uniqueness in each of my client’s needs, I mostly find inspiration through a mix of the theoretical models of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Trauma-informed Therapy, Play Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, and EMDR. Most of our sessions will explore negative thinking patterns, identifying/labeling emotions, behavioral changes, emotional dysregulation, conflict resolution, ‘adulting’, self-care, and/or faith-based exploration. I received my Masters in Educational and Clinical Counseling from Azusa Pacific University in 2019 and have worked with at-risk youth, adults, and families in both schools and practices for 10+ years at various capacities. If I’m not in session, I am tending to my own relational gardens, reading to learn, quenching my wanderlust for outdoor adventures, or obsessing over cute dogs.
