About My Clients
As a queer, neurodivergent person, I am passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ folks, people of the global majority, non-monogamous and polyamorous communities, and anyone else that doesn't "fit in" to what society depicts as the standard way to be a human. I love to use my personal experience combined with my professional insight to guide individuals to better manage stress, evolve their own identity, and heal from complex trauma and relational & systemic abuse.
My Background and Approach
As a holistic trauma therapist, I use a two-target approach. First, we start in the present to process your current symptoms and experiences. We identify what you want to change and find practical coping skills and strategies to better manage these difficulties. Second, we then dig into the past. We identify the root of where these symptoms come from, process the trauma, and heal the parts that have been hurt and unheard for years. Through this healing, you will find strength, confidence, and connection to the authentic self you want to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I practice emphatically from a liberation-focused, anti-racist, de-colonial, and anti-oppressive foundation. I support individuals of all identities, cultures, bodies, and backgrounds. I believe that understanding individual trauma must also include the systems and external dynamics that affect one’s internal experience, and I integrate this perspective in our sessions.
