My Background and Approach
I am a licensed professional counselor with training in humanistic and existential psychology. My approach is integrative, drawing from existential, psychodynamic, interpersonal, and transpersonal traditions. While techniques can be helpful, I believe the most important element of therapy is the relationship itself. Healing in therapy unfolds as you speak your truth, embrace vulnerability, and allow yourself to be witnessed in a safe, supportive space. In our work together, I focus on the present moment and your lived experience. Rather than analyzing you from a distance, I engage with you as a real person in a genuine conversation about your life. I may offer reflections, observations, or questions that help expand your awareness and illuminate patterns that were previously hidden. Over time, this process can help you develop greater self-understanding, emotional freedom, and the confidence to make choices that align with your authentic self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At the heart of my work is the belief that every person is inherently worthy - inherently enough - and already possesses an innate wisdom and capacity for growth. Life inevitably brings uncertainty, loss, and change. Rather than avoiding these realities, therapy can help us face them with courage and compassion. Within these challenges lies the possibility for transformation. I believe healing happens when we learn to relate to ourselves with kindness instead of shame, curiosity instead of judgment. When we reconnect with our inner truth, we become more capable of living with authenticity, meaning, and freedom. My role is simply to walk beside you in that process - helping you rediscover the strength and wisdom that have always been within you.
