About My Clients
I work with adolescents through older adults who are navigating a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and mood disorders. My clients are often seeking a supportive, collaborative space to explore treatment options, including medication management and integrative care. I welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and strive to provide culturally sensitive, compassionate care tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
My Background and Approach
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a strong foundation in both critical care and mental health. I began my nursing career in a neurological intensive care unit, where I gained valuable experience in high-acuity patient care. I later earned my Master of Science in Nursing with honors, specializing in psychiatric care across the lifespan. My clinical training includes working with adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of settings. My approach is holistic, evidence-based, and centered around building a trusting, collaborative relationship with each client. I prioritize understanding the full context of a person’s mental health—biological, psychological, and social—and tailor treatment plans to their unique needs. I offer medication management, support with lifestyle changes, and referrals to therapy or advanced treatments when appropriate. I'm also fluent in English and Spanish and committed to culturally sensitive care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in providing inclusive, compassionate mental health care for people of all backgrounds. I’m committed to creating a safe, affirming space for the LGBTQ+ community and others who may face barriers to care. My values are rooted in empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity. I’m passionate about reducing stigma, supporting youth mental health, and advocating for suicide prevention. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering with animal shelters and promoting community wellness.
